This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of Your information when You use the Service and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You.
We use Your Personal Data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. Interpretation and Definitions
Interpretation
The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.
Definitions
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:
- Account means a unique account created for You to access our Service or parts of our Service.
- Affiliate means an entity that controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with a party.
- Application refers to any application or software program provided by the Company.
- Company refers to AppMinds Limited, Limassol, Cyprus.
- Country refers to Cyprus.
- Device means any device that can access the Service such as a computer, cellphone, or digital tablet.
- Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
- Service refers to the Application.
- Service Provider means any natural or legal person who processes the data on behalf of the Company.
- Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself.
- You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing the Service.
2. Collecting and Using Your Personal Data
Types of Data Collected
a. Photos and Images
- Images you upload to SnapLooks in order to use our editing features.
- These may include images of faces or bodies if you choose to upload such content.
- We do not collect or store biometric identifiers (such as facial recognition templates or Face ID data).
b. Usage Data and Analytics
- Device type, operating system, language, app version, and other technical identifiers.
c. Device and Technical Data
- Information about your interactions with the App, including feature usage, time spent, and app performance.
3. Use of Your Personal Data
- Service Delivery: To provide and operate SnapLooks’ editing features and cloud storage functionality.
- Account Management: To manage your account, process subscriptions, and attribute credits.
- Cloud Access: To allow you to access your edits across devices through your account.
- User Support: To respond to inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide customer support.
- Communications: To send service-related updates, and with your consent, promotional messages.
- Analytics: To monitor app performance and improve user experience.
4. Face Data and Images
SnapLooks processes images that may contain faces for editing purposes. Because face data is sensitive, we handle it with special care:
- Collection: We only collect the images you choose to upload. We do not collect biometric templates or identifiers.
- Use: Images are used solely for providing editing services, enabling cross-device access.
- Sharing: Images, including those containing faces, are not sold or shared with data brokers. Images are shared with trusted service providers only when necessary to provide AI editing functionality requested by the user.
- Storage: Images are securely stored on Supabase with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.
- Retention: Original images and videos uploaded by users and AI-generated images or videos are stored for a maximum of 30 days, after which they are automatically deleted from our servers. Users may delete their content at any time before this period expires. Deleted content is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
- User Control: You may delete any image or your entire account at any time.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. These measures include encryption, secure storage, strict access controls, and continuous monitoring.
We regularly review and update our security practices to align with evolving industry standards and regulatory requirements.
6. Data Sharing
6.1 AI Processing & Third-Party Services
SnapLooks allows users to generate AI-enhanced photos and videos. To provide this functionality, we share user-selected content with our AI service providers (OpenAI, Google).
Data shared with the AI provider:
- Photos or images selected by the user for AI processing
- Optional text prompts entered by the user
- Generated images or videos are returned to the app and stored temporarily to allow user access and export.
Purpose of sharing:
This data is shared solely to generate the AI-edited result requested by the user.
User control & consent:
Media is sent to the AI provider only after the user explicitly initiates an AI generation action and provides consent within the app. No background or automatic uploads occur.
Data handling by third parties:
Our AI service providers offer data protection and security measures that are consistent with or exceed applicable privacy and security standards.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Information may only be disclosed in the following limited circumstances:
- AI Service Providers: Selected photos, videos, and text prompts are shared with our AI processing partner solely to generate user-requested AI edits.
- Legal Obligations: If required by law, legal process, or governmental request.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection of your data.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data, including images.
- Objection/Restriction: Object to or restrict certain processing of your information.
8. Children's Privacy
SnapLooks is not directed to children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child, we will promptly delete it.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law, or our practices. We will notify users of material changes by updating the “Effective Date” and providing notice within the App or via email where required.
